Description

At the age of eight, Chef Nathan Outlaw took on his first kitchen job, buttering toast for his father during a busy breakfast service. More daunting challenges were waiting in the kitchens of Gary Rhodes, John Campbell, Eric Chavot and Rick Stein. It was at Stein’s world-famous ‘Seafood Restaurant’ that Outlaw discovered the art of fish cookery. Having opened his first restaurant at 24, Outlaw has refined his unique style which has earned him four AA Rosettes and two Michelin stars.

The quaint fishing village of Port Isaac is also the location for ITV's 'Doc Martin'. From its tiny harbour you can watch as local fishermen land their catch of crabs and lobsters, and then walk the narrow streets or coastal path to Restaurant Nathan Outlaw which commands an enviable view across the bay and out to sea. On arrival you will be welcomed with a crisp glass of Laurent Perrier champagne.

During the course of the tasting menu, Chef Outlaw will showcase his unique understanding of the ocean’s bounty. With a firm commitment to sourcing the best produce from local day boats, each ingredient is treated with the utmost respect. With a heavy slant on seasonality you can expect to be swept away by the Chef’s favourite delicacies; including diver-caught scallops, local Porthilly oysters and Cornish crab.

The only specialist seafood restaurant to be award two Michelin stars and to appear in the Good Food Guide’s top five restaurants in the UK, a meal at Restaurant Nathan Outlaw is guaranteed to be one you’ll never forget.

Take the opportunity to relax for two nights in the area's most sought after hotel, St Enodoc Hotel in Rock. Built in 1924 into the hillside over looking Camel Estuary and Padstow, the Four-Star Silver Awarded boutique features unforgettable views across North Cornwall's spectacular coastline. The newly renovated hotel's chic interior is fresh and airy, with a splash of seaside style, which has seen it listed in The Good Hotel Guide and Sunday Times' Ultimate 100 British Hotels.

Restaurant Nathan Outlaw was completely and utterly perfect, from the moment we walked through the door, until we left. We were actually introduced to Nathan Outlaw who took the time to chat to us; the service was fantastic and the food? Well, it was the best we have ever had. EVER.
