Bringing the spirit of modern Mexico to Mayfair is acclaimed restaurant Peyote. Named after a small cactus native to the Chihuahuan desert, famous for its hallucinogenic properties, Peyote's interior presents a striking balance between earthy, quirky, and sophisticated. Inserted into one wall you'll even find a Mexican 'Day of the Dead'-inspired display of skulls. The pale-greens and adobe browns give the restaurant an authentic but refined feel.

Peyote's bar showcases an impressively curated range of premium mezcals and tequilas. Your introduction to these begins with a signature margarita cocktail on arrival; made only with premium tequila, the selection of margaritas on offer at Peyote are a far cry from the often insipid versions found outside mexico.

The menu, created by acclaimed Mexican chef Eduardo García, features classic dishes with contemporary touches. During this journey through the Mexican culinary landscape, you'll sample seasonal delights such as the 'Calamar peyote', and 'Lobster ceviche'.

Venerated since time immemorial and mastered by the Ancient Mayans, Mexico has an intrinsic connection with it's most prized export; Cocoa. Chef García uses his culinary expertise to create a perfect ending to your experience at Peyote in the form of his Mousse de Chocolate. Light, airy and enhanced by traditional aztec spicing, the only way to improve Chef Garcia's mousse is to pair it alongside a glass of Don Fulano Extra Anejo - available as part of the supplementary tequila pairing upgrade.

  • Fantastic evening in Mayfair

    Warm welcome by the team, excellent service throughout. Great education about the different tequilas . Fantastic atmosphere. The food was good, the highlight being the ceviche lobster and prawns.

    Good food, bad staff

    Terrible service, the staff didn't know what the 10 course menu was and a lot of back and forth with them which spoiled the surprise for my husband on our anniversary. The food is good but the staff spoiled it.
