As former Managing Director of the Gaucho restaurant group, Martin Williams' latest venture is more than just another steak restaurant. In fact, ‘M’ hosts two distinct restaurants – M Raw and M Grill – as well as a cocktail bar, wine tasting facility, and a private members ‘den’.

Having scoured the globe for the finest bovine specimens available, Martin appointed Head Chef Jarad McCarroll – from celebrity hotspot ‘Chiltern Firehouse – to craft a menu which maximises flavour without sacrificing the quality of produce. Chef McCarroll has put together a bespoke four-course menu, exclusive to Truly.

Before the dishes arrive, you’ll be welcomed in the M Den with a Signature cocktail or Apéritif of your choice. This will be followed by a mouth-watering first course of 'bites' each such as 'Edamame, Firecracker Sauce' or 'Puffed Beef, black garlic aioli'. After a beautiful starter from M Raw, you'll take a short break in the meal to explore the ageing room with M’s in-house butcher.

While speak to the butcher, the chefs will be busy in the open kitchen cooking the main course from M Grill to perfection; a 250g Argentinian Black Angus steak. There is no better place to sample this than at M - The Open Table Diners’ choice award winner for 2015. Having savoured the superb cut of meat, finish the experience with one of M's decadent desserts each.

    Amazing service - the staff made us feel very special, like we were the most important guests there. The food was incredible. All round a top evening out.

    Highly recommend M - cut above the rest

    The staff at M were really attentive and also very socialable.

    As an added extra the kitchen wrote Happy Birthday in chocolate on my wife's dessert plate...with a candle as well.

    We had a lovely evening. Staff were very friendly and polite. Our food was well presented and extremely tasty. We had the 'experience' as a gift from our daughter and would love to return and try the a la cart menu. Lively atmosphere. Altogether a very enjoyable experience.

    The food was fantastic, the service was friendly, the speech from the chef was brilliant and overall the experience was great. Personal note on the bathrooms: the toilet was perhaps a little unnecessarily high tech.

    An experience out of the top class

    It was truly a top-class experience. Fabulous food of course but also from the moment we stepped through the doors we were welcomed and taken care of. The service was excellent, so professional but also very at ease. We had cocktails, a fabulous meal and a chat with the head chef about the cuts of meat and had just a fabulous time. Thank you also for the pre drink recommendations.

    Very good main meal but the chicken starter was dry and the wine is very expensive.
