Description

Give the man in your life a personalised scent tailored entirely to him, formulated at London's top perfumery. Founded in 1730 on Jermyn Street, Floris London is Britain's oldest and best-respected perfume retailer.

To this day, the flagship Floris store remains where Juan Floris first started the business after arriving from his native Menorca. Hundreds of years of knowledge and expertise have been passed through the company, with his descendants - now in their 8th and 9th generation - still running the shop.

Floris currently holds two royal warrants: one as the only appointed Perfumers to HM The Queen Elizabeth II, and the other as Manufacturers of Toilet Preparations to HRH The Prince of Wales. These sit alongside 15 others from Floris' history.

Meanwhile, famous men through the generations have been admirers of Floris' fragrances include Winston Churchill (a customer for over 30 years), Sir Ranulph Fiennes (who took a bottle on an Arctic expedition in the 1970's), and Ian Fleming's James Bond (who wore his creator's favourite fragrance, Floris no.89).

On the day of your visit, you’ll receive a beautifully presented and bespoke fragrance gift box. Inside you’ll find a fragrance bottle engraved with the chosen initials. Based on the iconic Floris shape, this bottle will carry your unique fragrance.

Your two-hour consultation will begin by selecting a preferred base from Floris' broad range. In an experience with the perfumer, tailored to your style, tastes, and emotions, you will select new ingredients to be added to your newly created personal scent.

Enjoy the lasting legacy of having your fragrance added to the private perfume ledger, containing nearly 300 years’ worth of Floris’ bespoke fragrances. See your name next to celebrity customers throughout the company's history, and be able to forever re-order your own scent, or hand it down to future generations.

Once your custom fragrance has been completed, you will receive a 100ml bottle to take home, along with a Certificate of Provenance. Exclusive to Truly guests, you will also take home a signature Floris hand treatment cream.

Reviews

  • Great experience ending with special fragrance

Before the appointment the communication was quick and clear, albeit the time and venue was changed. Penny was fab on the day. I enjoyed learning about how things worked and she made it a very relaxed experience. She was very personable and happy to guide me when needed. The only query we all had was that the engraved 'I' looks very much like a 'J'. I know that some fonts make them look similar.
