Floris London is the world’s oldest perfumery, founded by Juan Floris in 1730. The Floris shop that he opened at 89 Jermyn Street remains at the heart of the business and is still run by their descendants today and holds two royal warrants including being the only appointed Perfumers to HM The Queen Elizabeth II. A unique opportunity to create a completely bespoke fragrance over the period of three consultations with an experienced Floris perfumer in the secluded privacy of their perfumery
MORE ABOUT THE EXPERIENCE
A truly unique gift, an exclusive opportunity to design your own perfume alongside an in-house Floris perfumer, made with precious essential oils and floral essences from around the world.
During your first visit, you’ll be introduced to a member of the Floris family, who will give you a short history of the company. Then, meet one of the Floris’ in-house perfumers who will guide you through the experience. Begin by choosing a base perfume from Floris' extensive range of fine fragrance bases and enjoy a glass of champagne as you both determine the chosen direction of your fragrance. The perfumer will then send you two unique scent mixes based on this for you to trial at your leisure.
At the second appointment, your feedback will be used to start refining the scent, exploring a selection of heart and top notes and following this, a further two fragrances will be sent to you to trial. During the final appointment, the finishing touches will be made to your custom scent and the bespoke blend will be poured into an engraved Floris glass bottle and labelled with a unique name chosen by you. 5 repeat orders of your bespoke fragrance are included in the service to be ordered when you wish.
In addition, your new scent will be added to Floris' private perfume ledger, dating back nearly 300 years. Your name will be forever recorded next to famous Floris clients, and your fragrance formula recorded for future re-orders.
More About Floris
Founded in 1730, Floris is the world’s oldest perfumer. To this day, the Floris shop at 89 Jermyn Street remains where Juan Floris first started the business after arriving from his native Menorca. Hundreds of years of knowledge and expertise have been passed through the company, with his descendants - now in the 8th and 9th generation - still running the shop.
Floris currently holds two royal warrants, one being the only appointed Perfumers to HM The Queen Elizabeth II. These sit alongside 15 others from Floris' history, the first awarded in 1820. Other famous customers include Winston Churchill (a Floris customer for over 30 years), Florence Nightingale and Marilyn Monroe, who had a delivery sent to her at California's Beverly Hills Hotel in 1959.
