Flat Iron began as a humble pop-up in the summer of 2012, taking residency at the Owl and Pussycat pub in Shoreditch. Following huge success here, Flat Iron has since flourished and opened three restaurants - the largest of which is the industrial-chic venue located on Covent Garden's Henrietta Street. The restaurant features a glass-fronted butchery room that shows off North Yorkshire beef, as well as a working on-site microbrewery and ice-cream counter.

Charlie Carroll, the founder of Flat Iron and a former Cambridge graduate, spent his culinary career working as an operations advisor for the Mexican restaurant, Wahaca, before perfecting his famous chips at the Fat Duck. A true beef geek, Carroll knows the flat iron cut, when expertly butchered, has tenderness second only to fillet. Working with their own rare breed of cattle on the Flat Iron farm in North Yorkshire, the restaurateurs select the very finest animals.

The succulent flat iron steak will be carved and served on a large sharing board spanning across the table, and will come accompanied by signature sides, such as dripping-cooked chips, creamed spinach, and market greens will accompany the steak.

Complementing this meaty feast is a headline beverage - Flat Iron's own craft beer, made in partnership with Yorkshire craft brewer, Copper Dragon. The Northern style beer is made at Flat Iron’s very own on-site microbrewery. To finish up the experience, you’ll love the ‘make your own’ ice-cream sundaes.
