“Heston Blumenthal’s village gastropub is a celebration of British cooking in all its Michelin-starred glory.” GQ Magazine

Why we love it

Dating back 600 years, The Hind’s Head has long had a presence in the picturesque village of Bray. First established as a hunting lodge and then a coaching inn, the interior reflects its lineage with plush leather sofas and old wooden tables. Classic British dishes are served in a beautifully contemporary manner, illustrating culinary imagination and technical precision. Michelin star-worthy, it certainly is.

What's Included?

  • Indulge in a four-course lunch each at Heston Blumenthal's Michelin-starred gastropub, The Hind’s Head in Bray
  • Sip on a welcome drink each, selected by The Hind's Head
  • Finish your meal with freshly brewed coffee, tea and petit fours

Description

The Fat Duck may have put Bray on the global culinary map, but it is Heston Blumenthal's The Hind's Head that epitomises the super chef's best of British dining.

Blumenthal bought the pub in 2004 but has made a point of celebrating the building's historical origins. Dating back to the 15th century when it first served as a hunting lodge, both the interior and the menu retain original elements while delivering a 21st-century gastronomy that has not only won the pub a Michelin star, but also made it one of the most popular places to eat and drink outside of London.

After a major refurbishment, including antique touches, open fires, wood panels and exposed beams, the atmosphere is cosy, inviting and irreverently stylish. During your Four-Course Lunch, you can expect a meal full of theatre and grandeur, with dishes such as cod brandade with fennel salad, chicken and celeriac with specially-sourced Alsace bacon, treacle tart ice cream, fine British cheeses, pear chutney and sour cherry and pecan bread.

Enjoy a welcome drink, carefully selected for you by The Hind’s Head, as well as freshly brewed tea and coffee, and petit fours to complete the occasion. There really is nothing more exciting than lunch at a Heston Blumenthal restaurant!
