Why we love it
Established in 2004, The Avenue Cookery School is an independent, family-run cookery school, based in Wandsworth, South West London. Offering a vast array of classes for all ages and abilities, from extended one and two-week courses, to short after school classes, this cookery school places its emphasis on fun and family. The Avenue’s team of experienced chefs teach from the heart, rather than a cook book, leading with hands-on explanations and interesting stories.

- Invite your child to enjoy a cooking class at The Avenue Cookery School
- Professional chefs guide the children through a hands-on cookery class
- A selection of themes and different dishes are on offer to choose from

Description
The owner and head chef at The Avenue Cookery School is Diana Horsford who infamously taught at the Grange Cookery School in Somerset for seven years, before starting The Avenue. Her demonstrations are full of humour, fun and packed with interesting and relevant information.
Children cook in pairs or as a team to create a tasty dish which can be enjoyed in the kitchen or taken home. They will be guided on how to prepare the food using the right utensils and how to put it all together in order to make it their own. Some of the classes on offer include dimsum, Thai green curry, chocolate mousse and even sushi!
A recipe booklet will be emailed to you so that you can support your children in making the same dishes at home. These classes are also perfect for those needing to complete their skill section for their Duke of Edinburgh Bronze, Silver or Gold.
