The Avenue Cookery School is a family-run cookery school in Wandsworth, established in 2004 by Diana Horsford. After seven years of teaching experience at the renowned Grange Cookery School, the dynamic cookery school owner went on to open a number of specialist food ventures. The ‘Mother Duck’ of the Avenue Cookery School runs a number of fun and interactive courses and classes with her daughter and son. The Horsford family have successfully created a unique cookery school that invites guests to turn their love of good food into practical cookery skills. The ethos of the Avenue kitchen is to use recipes as a source of inspiration, not as a steadfast instruction. Stainless steel surfaces give the kitchen a ‘real feel’ along with the big wooden dining table, potted herbs, glasses of wine and happy cooking banter, creating a homely ambiance. Guests can choose from a range of themes for their private three-hour class.
