Situated next to Buckingham Palace, the Royal Mews has history dating back to the late 14th century. Steep deep in monarchy traditions, it is responsible for all road travel undertaken by the Royal Family, from royal weddings to coronations. Today the mews holds a combination of century-old carriages, specially-bred horses and more recently an array of luxe Rolls Royces.

During your hour-long tour, expect to be dazzled by 200-year-old fairy-tale coaches that have defined history. Marvel at the Gold State Coach, which has been used to transport the monarch for every coronation since 1821 to Her Majesty’s Diamond Jubilee State Coach and beyond.

The true highlight is a visit to the working stables; home to the Queen's beloved Windsor Greys and Cleveland Bay. Learn why these particular breeds have been chosen for royal duty and take a sneak peak into the royal riding school, where Queen Victoria and Prince Albert’s children learnt to ride.

After working up an appetite exploring the royal stables, venture to Quilon for a sumptuous five course tasting menu. Chef Sriram has meticulously designed his menus to showcase the traditional flavours and ingredients of south west coastal India, while including the progressive elements of modern cooking.
