From the third-floor of Royal Festival Hall, Skylon Bar and Restaurant provides modern British cuisine, fabulous cocktails and magnificent views over the London skyline.

Stylishly positioned between the two dining areas, the main bar echoes the brutalist style of the original Royal Festival Hall constructed for the 1951 Festival of Britain, with a contemporary edge. To say the bar’s wine list is extensive is an understatement; the menu features wines by the glass from well-renowned appellations in France to intriguing and unique wines from Slovenia and Chile, on top of a seemingly endless list of new and old world wines by the bottle, from Bordeaux to Mount Bargylus in Syria, Piedmont to Uruguayan Pisano.

In the kitchen, executive Head Chef Tom Cook oversees a menu of modern British cuisine. Chef Cook trained under Gary Rhodes and Michel Roux Jr. and has worked in kitchens from London to Sydney for iconic restaurants such as Le Gavroche, The Capital, and Pier Restaurant (recognised as one of the San Pellegrino Best 100 Restaurants in the World in 2009). Most recently he was Head Chef at both Restaurant Tom Aitkens and Le Pont de la Tour. Under his very experienced direction, the kitchen offers a menu of modern British cuisine. Sample Chef Cook’s clever cooking with two bar snacks to share to accompany the wine, with dishes ranging from ‘pork and black pudding croquette’ to ‘fried chilli squid’.

Guests can pay in full on-site for any additional products or services desired.
