Since opening in 1999, Restaurant Martin Wishart has held true to its original mission - to bring the very best traditional and modern French cuisine to Edinburgh. Today, Restaurant Martin Wishart is one of Britain's most celebrated restaurants, with accolades including being twice named "Scottish Restaurant of the Year" by The Good Food Guide, and having been voted the UK's 8th best restaurant by The Times. The restaurant won Edinburgh its first Michelin star in 2001, and has retained it every year since.

Having trained under renowned chefs such as Albert Roux, Michel Roux Jr and Marco Pierre White, Martin has become firmly established as one of the UK's most highly respected chefs. Martin himself directs the team, which consists of one member of staff for every two guests, to ensure the utmost standards of quality and service are maintained.

The dining room is an elegant and romantic space, coloured in mocha and cream and located in a stunning dockside setting.
