Established in 2004, the family-run Avenue Cookery School offers a relaxed, fun and highly informative online sushi workshop, led by an experienced sushi expert. This is an opportunity to discover the tips and tricks behind creating crave-worthy sushi, the ancient Japanese cuisine that took the world by storm. Your Saitaku Sushi Kit and core ingredients will be delivered to your home ahead of the class (within the UK). After meeting the chef, you'll learn about the origins of this popular dish. Interestingly invented as a means of preservation, when fermented rice was used to store fish for anything up to a year. Following a brief history, learn from a step-by-step sushi demonstration. Then it’s your chance to get your hands sticky. Have fun rocking and rolling your ingredients into a variety of different forms, from hand rolls to maki and even how to slice the perfect sashimi. With a head full of sushi-making techniques, and a stomach full, you’ll leave your online masterclass with the confidence to recreate sushi once again.
