Restaurant Story was born from an idea to tell a story through good food. This simple premise earned its Chef-Patron, Tom Sellers, a Michelin star within half a year of opening in 2013. Sellers has worked for years in some of the world’s most renowned kitchens, including Rene Redzepi’s world-beating Noma and Thomas Keller’s three-Michelin-star restaurant, Per Se.

Inspired by Chef Tom Sellers’ culinary career and the history of British food, dishes at Story are influenced by memory or provenance of ingredients. A multi-sensory experience, Story uses only the freshest seasonal British produce to create a menu of small dishes that are playful, nostalgic and evoke childhood memories, with each course served with its own ‘story’. Expect contemporary and very inventive dishes, such as a lit candle of beef dripping served with dark, toasted sourdough; used to dip in the tallow as it melts.
