LAND BREEZE Private Land Yachting by Fishy's Land Yachts

Land yachting uses three-wheeled vehicles attached to a sail which can reach speeds in excess of 40mph. The rider sits or lies down, close to the ground, using feet to control the front wheel for steering and hands to control the sail. A Class 3 land yacht can get up to about 70 miles and the record for a land yacht is 116mph.It’s like windsurfing, mixed with the luge/skeleton. It might look complicated to begin with, with its big sails and myriad ropes and curious sitting position, but with two hours of expert tuition to learn the ropes (literally) you’ll be flying up and down in no time. This could be the perfect way to discover a new sport together!During your land yachting experience, you will be under the professional guidance of Andy from Fishy’s Land Yachts. With over 16 years of experience in teaching land yachts and kite buggies, Andy will provide you with all the safety instructions needed to ride the yacht with confidence and ease.Your session for two will start with a briefing on safety, riding techniques and step-by-step instructions on how to harness the wind to get the most out of your day. You’ll then practice on a figure of 8 course, learning basic movements until you both feel comfortable enough to progress to the great outdoors. As there are no passenger seats, you will each have the opportunity to command your very own land yacht for the day. Competitive couples, beware!
