MORE ABOUT OUR PARTNER

Enjoy an incredible tour of the south of France, with five-star stays in Nice and Monaco, Michelin star dining and the inimitable opportunity to drive the Col de la Bonette by Lamborghini Huracan or Ferrari 488 Spider with this south of France driving tour. Day One Arrive in Nice, the vibrant jewel of the Côte D’Azur, and check into a luxurious five-star hotel, and enjoy the opulent, sun-soaked city. Head to Vieux Nice, the old town, to retrace the city’s history in this atmospheric area or visit the Musée Matisse, in Nice’s leafy Cimiez neighbourhood, for a fascinating collection of works by Henri Matisse. The city also offers tremendous views. The Parc du Château, home to a 12th-century castle that towers over Nice, provides panoramic views of the city. Meanwhile, the sensational French riviera sunsets are best witnessed from the Promenade des Anglais, created by English colonists in 1822. During the evening, enjoy some of the finest French cuisine Nice has to offer, courtesy of the Michelin star tasting menu at one of the city’s top restaurants. Day Two Embark on the journey of a lifetime, ascending one of the world’s most famous roads. The highest road in Europe, the Col de la Bonette offers some of the finest scenery in all of the Alps. Soaring more than 2700km above sea level, the stunning sweeping roads provide a satisfying challenge. The luxury vehicle of your choice will be delivered to the hotel by morning. Head north towards the Parc National de Mercantour, marvel at the gorgeous scenery of Provence, before reaching the start of Col de la Bonette. En route, stop at the delightful town of Saint-Étienne de Tinée. Sitting low in the valley, beside the gushing Tinée river, this picture postcard town is surrounded by lush pine and mélèze forests and towering mountain slopes, with a beautiful amalgam of historic buildings, pretty terrace cafés and shops. Ascending the route, the striking contrast between the increasingly barren, volcanic appearance near the top of the pass and the lush greenery below will amaze. The road becomes more challenging as it climbs, producing a thrilling driving experience, rewarded at the summit by one of Europe’s finest panoramas. With a short walk from the end of the pass, it is possible to reach the highest point of the Col de la Bonette, revealing yet more extraordinary scenery. From the peak, descend the route along the 5km stretch of racing circuit-like road to meet the route used in the Tour de France, before heading to Monaco to check into one of the city’s premiere hotels. Having fallen for the charms of Monaco, savour a delectable tasting menu at one of Europe’s leading restaurants in the principality Enjoy the incomparable glitz and glamour of Monaco. The dramatic Musée Océanographique de Monaco, founded by Prince Albert I and perched on the edge of a cliff, deserves a visit, and the 6m deep aquarium includes sharks and other predators, separated from an array of exotic tropical fish by a coral reef. Day Three Take a look at Le Rocher, the enchanting area originally built as a 13th-century fortress, that became the stronghold of the Grimaldi dynasty. The palace there is the private residence of the Grimaldis and the changing of the guards can be witnessed each day at 11.55am. Visit the Jardin Exotique - a labyrinth of succulent plants and cacti to enjoy the best views of the principality, the perfect way to cap off this south of France driving tour.
