Description

Home of the world's oldest, and widely considered the most prestigious, tennis competition, the All England Lawn Tennis Club is a bastion of sporting heritage in south-west London. From the record haul of 7 championships achieved by both Sampras and Federer and the moment Queen Elizabeth II presented Virginia Wade with the 1977 trophy, to Andy Murray's famous 2013 victory, Wimbledon is steeped in history and tradition.

Join one of the club's scheduled guided tours and meet one of the club's knowledgeable Blue Badge guides by the Wingfield Café, before enjoying some of the most recognisable and exclusive areas of the grounds.

Explore the historic Centre Court and No. 1 Court, which has played host to the likes of the Federer vs. Nadal epic in 2008 and the 1969 Gonzales vs. Pasarell battle that lasted 112 games and 2 days.

Peek behind-the-scenes into the press interview room and Millennium Building, which houses the players’ and members’ facilities, for a secret glimpse into the world behind the Championships and sit on the famed picnic terraces of 'Henman Hill', or 'Murray Mount' as it's known now.

Both before and after the tour, guests will be able to discover the Wimbledon Lawn Tennis Museum; an unsurpassed collection of tennis memorabilia and history. Artefacts at the museum date back as far as 1555, with trophies, outfits, interactive features and more.

To complete the experience, enjoy a three-course Michelin star lunch, either before or after the tour, at nearby Chez Bruce. Be transported by private transfer between Wimbledon and the restaurant and indulge in a seasonal menu of high-end modern French cuisine in simple, elegant surroundings.

  • Amazing birthday present

Everything was amazing, taxis on time and food great.

    An excellent day at Wimbledon

We had an excellent day both at Wimbledon itself and at the lunch at Chez Bruce. The only quibbles that we had related to your administration: - 1) The ticket that you emailed to us would not print on our printer as it was set up for "custom" paper size and seemed to be geared to a ticket printer, so having called your office we took a photo of the ticket on my phone; 2) we were not aware in advance that the tour was public and there was no "linkage" between that and the taxi to the restaurant etc and no "Truly" presence there. I hope this feedback is useful to improve your offering but please do not let it detract from an overall very positive response

  • Wimbledon experience

Very informative and enjoyable tour of Wimbledon Tennis, followed by a superb meal at Chez Bruce.

    A truly memorable day

The Wimbledon tour was very interesting and informative. As a past tennis player, I would have liked to see the players changing rooms etc. and walk out on to centre court but understand why that was not included. We could have spent a longer time in the museum. The lunch was magnificent and rounded off a memorable day.

  • Fantastic and really special day

We had a fantastic day, the tour is really excellent and such an insight into the history and background of Wimbledon, would highly recommend it. All went very smoothly and we had a lovely lunch at Chez Bruce, the food and service is exceptional.

Great lunch and insight into the Wimbledon tennis championship

Lunch at Chez Bruce lovely. Mix up on times for Wimbledon tour - our voucher said to be there for 10.45 with an 11am start, but the tour did not start until 11.30. Slightly disappointing tour in that we did not go into the players area at all other than their entrance and restaurant - would have been good to see the locker rooms and the walk to the entrance to Centre Court. Very good knowledgeable guide. Museum very interesting - need lots of time there - we had to split our visit into 30 mins before tour and 1h after lunch due to mix up on times which wasn't ideal. Tour last 90mins.

  • An excellent day at Wimbledon

It was a brilliant day. Parking was easy. Our tour guide, Fernando was very friendly and extremely knowledgable. The taxi arrived on time and took us to Chez Bruce. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The meal was excellent. Tha taxi back was also punctual. Altogether a lovely day.

Want to experience Wimbledon? This is the perfect way to do it!

The Wimbledon Guided Tour was amazing! Great guide, perfect length, we saw everything we expected to see. The driver that picked us up was very nice and waited directly at the gate, unfortunately the Truly email said he would wait further done the street at a specific address, which was where we were looking for him. The restaurant was very nice and the menu was just amazing! However, it was a bit crowded and loud, which is something you can expect at lunch time.
We had a great time and enjoyed the day a lot!

  • Wimbledon Ace Tour and Meal

The tour and meal were excellent. Please review your instructions for Wimbledon though as the gates don't open until 10:00 so telling people to check in at the shop at 9:45 or earlier is never going to happen. The tour itself does not start until 10:30. One other point, re the taxi at 418 Wimbledon Park Road, the entrance to this address is actually on Bathgate Road so we did not find the cab immediately.

    A very lovely "experience"

All in all a great day but a little disappointed when we arrived at Wimbledon reception and they did not seem to have a record of our booking. However they eventually let us in because we had the print out of the voucher. The lunch at Chez Bruce was superb - delicious food and great service - they really looked after us.

  • Wimbledon Tour

I very much enjoyed my experience. My only complaint was the transportation coordination. It should have been more clear where to meet the driver and better coordination on both sides. There was some confusion for us in meeting the driver. Overall, however, it was a great experience.

    Disappointing

Wimbledon tour was great, no complaints. However the car arrived half an hour late to pick us up with no apology from the driver. I think describing it as a chauffeured transfer was misleading as it was simply a scruffy taxi/driver. Although the food and service was good , the restaurant made no acknowledgement of my partner's birthday which was disappointing. All in all not the special treat I had expected.

  • Great experience

It was really nice and really enjoyed it!

    Wonderful meal

Wonderful meal at the restaurant. Very friendly taxi driver. Very good guided tour at Wimbledon.

  • A wonderful day

A wonderful day slightly tarnished by a mix up with transfer arrangement from wimbledon to chez bruce. Staff dealt efficiently with problem but half hour wait on a rainy day not ideal. Barring this an excellent would be the score

Perfect Birthday Treat for My Husband

Thanks to truly for arranging everything perfectly. This was the perfect treat for my husband's 40th birthday and went without a hitch.

  • Incredibly Delightful

Had a wonderful day - the tour was informative and interesting. I've been to Wimbledon on numerous occasions and enjoyed the festive atmosphere, but it was great to be able to have a look around at a quieter time and see all the things one might usually miss. I was struck by how the players' changing rooms were incredibly luxurious in particular.

The lunch was also exceptional, three courses of fine dining. The veal in particular was a delight. I highly recommend this experience, as I thought it was of excellent value all things considered.Had a wonderful day - the tour was informative and interesting.
