“The Bleach hair revolution has come to define a generation of post-noughties London” The Standard

Why we love it

The capital's coolest hair has come to the West End! Bleach, the cult East London salon, opened their newest spot in uber-trendy Soho in mid-2015. Described by The Standard as “almost single-handedly responsible for the capital’s en-masse adoption of rainbow-tinted tips”, and recommended as Tatler’s ‘Best Salon for A New You’ it’s little wonder Alex Brownsell and Sam Teasdale boast an impressive list of celeb clients. Vibrant and rebellious, Bleach is synonymous with colour expertise, fun, experimentation and DIY science.

What's Included?

  • Have your hair dyed into a two-tone ombre style, with a balayage service at Bleach Berwick Street
  • Receive a toner application to ensure one natural colour is faded into another
  • For an additional charge, add an eye-catching 'super cool colour' dye (select "add a super cool colour" at the top of the page)

Exclusive to TRULY

  • Take home a complimentary set of Bleach products, including shampoo, conditioner and colour

Description

Bleach is a salon with true DIY roots; after Alex Brownsell teamed up with best friend Sam Teasdale to open the original two-chair pop-up hair shop in Dalston. First described by Alex as “somewhere to experiment with colours and styles in a way you'd never see anywhere else”, Bleach has now grown to three full-size salons; but continues to capture its original fun, rebelliousness spirit; revolutionising the world of creative colour along the way.

Named “London’s coolest salon” by TimeOut, Bleach's spaces resemble no other. Their newest spot in Soho is decorated with white-washed walls, exposed metal piping and bare concrete floor; a refreshing antithesis to its neighbouring beauty parlours. Interior designer David White is responsible for the refined space that shows the brand is growing up, but still upholds its core values of fun, colour, experimentation and rebellion. If you don’t believe us, the colour-mixing dispensary also doubles up as a bar for customers.

As you'd expect of any style pioneer, Bleach boast a long list of celebrity clients; including Lily Allen, Florence Welch, Georgia May Jagger, and Ellie Goulding. Their most popular look is the two-tone balayage service; where one colour fades into another. This A-list hair tend works equally well with natural colours that give a sunkissed look, or with bolder colours that turn heads.

The talented stylists all undergo specialist 'Bleach training' to cater to either preference: those wanting wild, eye-catching looks, or those looking for more subtle, natural highlights. All are experts when it comes to Balayage - the technique the salon uses to apply the ombre, two-tone style. For those wanting a pop of colour, virtually any colour imaginable is possible... which explains why The Telegraph advised its readers to "come here for every colour under the rainbow - at once".

The success of the Bleach name has also now diversified to include an array of products, which include dyes, shampoos and conditioners for every colour under the rainbow. Exclusive to TRULY guests, when you visit for a balayage, you'll take home a complimentary set of these products; including shampoo, conditioner and colour.
