Description

Discover a world of culinary talent on a special gastronomic retreat to Belmond Le Manoir aux Quat'Saisons. An iconic restaurant which has held two Michelin stars since opening in 1984, other accolades collected along the way include ‘Sustainable Hotel Restaurant of the Year 2014’, ‘Best UK Hotel’ at The Travel Awards 2014, and being voted 1st, 5th and 7th in TripAdvisor’s 2013 Travellers’ Choice Favourite Fine Dining Restaurants for the UK, Europe and Worldwide categories respectively.

Raymond Blanc OBE is no stranger to the spotlight himself. An established household name and one of the most respected chefs in the UK, Blanc is an acknowledged champion of sustainability. He is president of the Sustainable Restaurant Association (SRA) and a patron of Earth Trust, as well as Vice-President of Garden Organic, the UK’s leading organic-growing charity.

One of the most attractive restaurant locations in Britain, Belmond Le Manoir aux Quat'Saisons' style marries together the Englishness of Oxfordshire with the eccentricities of Raymond Blanc OBE’s native France. The honey-mustard coloured 15th Century Manor house is the focal point of which an eclectic mix of water gardens, Provençal lavender rows, a Japanese garden and kitsch sculptures all border.

Inside, designer Emily Todhunter has created 32 individual bedrooms. Each luxurious space has its own name, themes and character, such as an Asian boudoir (Jade) or the crisp, refreshing white room (Blanc de Blanc).

Belmond Le Manoir aux Quat'Saisons prides itself on being a temple to haute cuisine. Seasonality reigns supreme at the two-Michelin starred restaurant, where ingredients are foraged from as local at the kitchen garden; an eye-catching display of fresh vegetables, herbs and the cutely named ‘mushroom valley’. There’s no tomfoolery; each ingredient is expertly cooked in their natural, identifiable state by Head Chef Gary Jones and the expert kitchen team.
