Learn how to taste wine the way the experts do, with a tasting led by Gilbert Winfield. Gilbert has over twenty years of experience working everywhere from France to South Africa and is qualified to the highest level with WSET (Wine and Spirit Education Trust). He belongs to the Circle of Wine Writers and serves as a judge for the International Wine Challenge, one of the UK’s premier wine competitions.
The tasting is aptly hosted at Jamon Jamon, Soho – the perfect setting for a Spanish and Latin American-themed evening. ‘Jamon Jamon’ to the Spanish is a phrase which indicates a passion for life and guests can look forward to a tasting that promotes this ethos. Suitable for anyone from beginner to enthusiast, the fun, informal and educational tasting will include a selection of delicious tapas paired with a variety of Spanish and Latin American wines
During the tasting, guests will learn about topics ranging Old World vs New World styles, the major styles of wine, pairing wine with food, and will get involved in blind tastings to test their new found knowledge.
