“Quite honestly, better than Rome!” The Guardian
Why we love it
For decades, Italian cuisine has claimed the hearts of food lovers. The boisterous flavours, silky textures and delicate aromas are enough to satisfy on almost any occasion. But, a trip to Rome can be pricey (not to mention time-consuming), which is why Palatino strives to deliver Rome away from home. With its beautiful menu and elegant wine selection, you’ll feel like you’ve stepped right onto Piazza Navona!
What's Included?
- Enjoy an Italian wine and dine experience for two at Palatino
- Choose two antipasti to share (one per person)
- Complement your food with a glass of Palatino’s finest red wine, or receive £25 each towards any glasses or bottle of wine of your choice
- Relax in the stylish and easy ambience of Palatino
Description
A lover of Roman gastronomy, Stevie Parle, founder of Palatino, makes no exception to his authentic offering. The menu is divided typically into four sections, serving antipasti, primi, secondi and dolci – not forgetting the formaggi and gelato of course!
The trattoria is airy, light and unique. Tall windows celebrate the occasional London sunshine and the open kitchen makes the whole restaurant come alive. The success of the food is down to its simplicity and cohesion – clever flavour profiles blended with high-quality ingredients.
A signature dish, and firm favourite of returning guests, is the tonnarelli cacio e pepe, with tellicherry pepper and pecorino cheese – to the less discerning diner, ribbons of pasta served with a deliciously gentle cheese and pepper sauce. A perfect example of Roman delicacies on your doorstep.
During your dining experience, you’ll have the option of selecting two different antipasti from the menu, with unique dishes such as salt cod and blood orange or fried zucchini and zucchini flower drizzled with honey-sweetened vinegar to choose from. To complement your sharing plates, you’ll receive £25 towards your choice of a bottle of wine, or alternatively a glass of Palatino’s finest red wine.
You don’t have to fly to Italy to sample Roman cooking at its best – just catch a cab to Palatino!
