Combing authenticity and luxury, the private Banya Taiga invites guests to enjoy the Bath House age-old rituals with your own ‘elite’ group of hand-picked guests and enjoy a steam room, a hot stone room, a massage room for two and a private lounge area. When the effects of the steam get too hot to handle, guests can stand under an ice-cold shower or take a dip in an icy plunge pool to boost circulation, which helps relieve muscle tension, stress and joint pain.

About Banya No. 1
Banya has been around for centuries and very popular in East-European culture and often a family or group activity, which frequently includes a post-treatment session, eating traditional food such as dumplings or pickles, and drinking tea, beer or vodka. Banya No. 1 opened in 2012 and is the only one of its kind in London, which has subsequently become very popular among Banya and Wellness lovers.
Banya No. 1 has a public spa open to members and non-members, and also a private Banya Taiga (translation for “Forest”), which has a unique steam room and traditionally constructed log cabin made of Kelo timber with logs imported from Siberian taiga. This private steam room which has been frequented by the likes of Kate Moss and Justin Bieber is ideally suited for a group of eight to ten people and perfect for those looking for something different for for a hen or stag do, a special occasion, celebration or for corporate events or staff days out.
Additional Information
Swimwear is required during mixed gender sessions, but non-compulsory at other times. It is advisable to bring flip flops due to the hot floor (these can also be purchased on-site).
One cotton sheet or towel is provided per guest during your visit.
The treatment will be provided by a male therapist for all appointments, as is tradition, including mixed-gender and female-only sessions.
In the event of cancellation, please provide at least 72 hours’ notice. Bookings can only be rescheduled once.
