Left in exactly the same way as when the lights were turned off in 1945, Churchill’s War Rooms are like a step back in time. Housing secret war plans, Churchill’s speeches and plenty of odes to his wife, this personal space is both intimate and interesting.

Unlock the secrets behind Churchill's success by exploring the Map Room, hear extracts from Churchill's rousing wartime speeches such as "blood, toil, tears and sweat" and "we shall fight them on the beaches"; stand alongside the original No. 10 door that Churchill walked through after becoming Prime Minister; and view fascinating, cutting-edge multimedia displays of devoted letters he wrote to his wife, to photo and film clips of his early life. With admissions tickets for two, spend all afternoon delving into this extraordinary branch of the Imperial War Museum.

For as long as three decades Tuttons has been a British institution and it remains one of the longest-standing restaurants in central London. Situated on the famous Covent Garden piazza, Tuttons is the perfect venue for a romantic date, a casual catch-up with a friend, or simply a treat for two who enjoy dining in style. The entire venue was given a makeover a few years ago, and this has only added to its charm.

With an eclectic bar, an energetic pre-theatre crowd, a private dining room and an outside area that’s perfect for al fresco dining, Tuttons have it all. The interior of this esteemed establishment boasts an incredible ambience, and the plush red leather booths and dark wood create a wonderful backdrop for breakfasts, lunches and dinners.

Suggested Itinerary:

• Arrive at Churchill War Rooms at 10am, book lunch for 1pm or 2pm
• Allow approximately 90 minutes to explore the Churchill War Rooms
• Arrive 30 minutes earlier if you wish to explore the Churchill Museum

Opening Times:

• Churchill War Rooms: Open daily 10am to 4pm (last admission).
• Churchill War Rooms is closed on 24th, 25th and 26th of December.
• Tuttons: Monday to Saturday, 12pm to 5:00pm
• This experience is not available on bank holidays and other special occasion days such as Valentine’s Day, Mothers day, Good Friday, New Years Eve .
• Only the Festive Menu is available throughout the festive season from 20th November to 31st December.
• Please note menu's require a supplementary fee if booked during the festive period.
