Start by choosing your preferred tea infusion with the help of the in-house sommelier. There is a wide range to peruse, spanning specialties from Darjeeling First Flush to green teas and flavoured options including peach with flowers. For a taster, you are given a delicious amuse bouche to prepare you for your finger sandwiches, which offer a unique combination of ingredients, such as: Beef Pastrami, sauce ‘Albert’, watercress and caramelised onion bread. With small breaks in between, which never leave you wanting or wondering, you have a chance to breathe and appreciate the live piano amidst conversation. To follow, feast on warm scrumptious scones, plain and raisin, complete with a healthy dollop of Devonshire clotted cream and strawberry preserve. Then the finale: five exquisite Wedgewood pastries presented on a beautiful Wedgwood plate, each boasting their own distinct flavours and textures, including, Paris Brest: Crunchy choux pastry, lightened pecan cream and caramelised pecans; and Babalicious: Blackcurrant and star anise baba, Jivara whipped ganache and crunchy pearls.
