Gilbert has over 20 years experience in wine, having worked in prominent wine regions from France to South Africa, and is a qualified WSET (Wine and Spirit Education Trust) tutor. His expertise has led him to be become a member of the Circle of Wine Writers, serve as a judge for the International Wine Challenge, and have several TV appearances, including being Sky News' wine expert. Despite his impressive and lengthy list of accolades, Gilbert maintains a relaxed and approachable manner towards sharing his knowledge of wine and his laid back, humorous approach is a breath of fresh air in the industry.
