This break is designed to fly into Kruger Mpumalanga Airport and to fly out of Durban International Airport.
Day One
This itinerary is designed to start when you land at Kruger Mpumalanga Airport. Upon arrival, you will be met by a driver, and transported by private vehicle to your accommodation, which will be situated in and around the area of Leopard Creek, around 40 miles away from the airport. You will be staying at one of Leopard Creek’s beautiful partner lodges, which are situated at various locations near the course and promise stylish luxury accommodation. The exact lodge you will be staying in depends on which dates you travel, but rest assured they will always be of the highest standard.
Day Two
The second day of your trip gives the opportunity to play a round of golf at South Africa's leading course, Leopard Creek. Otherwise known as the ‘Wild Thing’, this course is situated on the fringes of the Kruger National Park, one of the biggest wildlife reserves in the world. With a first class championship course and the possibility of meeting some African wildlife, a round at Leopard Creek truly promises an experience to remember. The course is home to an immaculate 18 hole golf course with incredible manicured fairways and greens, filled with various challenges and features. You will be able to enjoy stunning views across Crocodile River, looking out over the Krueger National Park at various points throughout your round. A pure golfer's paradise, Leopard Creek provides an exceptional experience that is, in short, a box that every golfer should tick.
Day Three
Kruger National Park is one of the world’s leading wildlife parks and home to one of the most beautiful and varied ecosystems on the planet. We have included a full day safari excursion as a part of this package; providing the full Kruger experience in a single day, whilst maintaining a relaxed pace. You will experience South Africa’s natural beauty, capture boastful wildlife photographs and have amazing African wildlife encounters. With so much on offer, a full day Kruger Park safari is the best way to experience the park if you have limited time and want to learn more about the park from a knowledgeable guide.
Day Four
The day starts with travel from your accommodation near Kruger National Park to a five-star hotel in Durban, a beautiful coastal city, which is also home to some of the most highly rated golf courses in the country. We will organise your domestic flights between both locations, with full details to be provided on your personalised itinerary after booking. After giving you time to familiarise yourself with the city, you are invited for dinner at 9th Avenue Bistro, one of the city’s best restaurants, to enjoy a delightful seven-course tasting menu. This restaurant has been presented with an American Express Platinum Fine Dining Award, and voted the best restaurant in the city by the Durban Chamber of Tourism and Commerce. This establishment strives to serve fresh and creative cuisine with a real emphasis on locally sourced seasonal ingredients; dishes include mouth-watering Cajun pork belly, fresh line fish and slow roasted shoulder of lamb.
Day Five
For the penultimate day of your trip you are invited to play a round of golf at the illustrious Durban Country Club. Established in 1922, Durban Country Club has a proud history that spans back almost 90 years and is a popular club amongst both golf enthusiasts and Durban residents alike. Aside from being built upon large sand dunes, defining characteristics of Durban Country Club include the major fluctuations in the fairways, and the almost-tropical vegetation that it always ready to punish wayward shots. As a result, Durban Country Club is generally regarded as a shot makers' course, where players are forced to think their way around the course, and on which using a driver off the tee can sometimes be to your own detriment, particularly on some of the early holes where the fairways are especially unforgiving.
Day Six
On the final day of your trip you will be chauffeured from your hotel to Durban International Airport, where you can lament at the conclusion of your holiday and reflect on what will be one of your most treasured golfing memories.
All bookings are subject to availability. We advise booking at least 8 weeks in advance to guarantee the desired date and time.
