Since opening his business over thirteen years ago, William Curley has become the most awarded chocolate producer in the UK, being named Britain’s Best Chocolatier by The Academy of Chocolate four times and winning a gold medal at The Culinary Olympics. Having trained with some of the country’s finest chefs; including Pierre Koffmann, Marco Pierre White and Raymond Blanc, his ambitions took him to The Savoy Hotel, where he became the youngest Chef Patissier in its history. His focus on using only the freshest, most natural produce, without additives, colourings or preservatives, makes his chocolate a cut above the rest; perfect for pairing with premium whisky.
Your tasting will take place at Soho Whisky Club, a hidden oasis above The Vintage House whisky shop. As London’s only whisky-based private member’s club, the exclusive space stocks over 600 varieties of whisky, making it a dream for anyone who appreciates the dram.
During this very special tasting, guests will enjoy four wonderful Scotch whiskies perfectly paired with William’s exquisite chocolates. The whiskies have a wide range of flavour profiles beginning with a light style from the Lowlands of Scotland, ending with a heavily peated, cask strength, single cask whisky from the Highlands. The richness and smoothness of the liquid gold samples make them the perfect companions to Curley’s fine artisan chocolate – this is a whisky and chocolate tasting experience not to be missed.
