Description

Flying an aeroplane is very much about aerodynamics; creating the perfect conditions for the lift to occur. During this experience, you’ll have the opportunity to take the controls and fly a four-seater plane. Whether you’re considering doing your PPL, or are simply looking for an adrenaline rush, this trial lesson will help you decide what the next step might be.

Over 90 minutes, you will receive an intensive ground school briefing for up to 30 minutes, before taking to the sky for 50 minutes of flight time. The plane has four seats, meaning one for the instructor, one for you and one for a non-flying guest. You can invite a second observing passenger at additional cost.

After a comprehensive briefing, including safety checks, ground and airborne emergency drills and aircraft information, you’ll then be shown how to operate the controls of the plane. As a co-pilot, you’ll be responsible for knowing and communicating who has control, as well as the location of other aircraft in the sky.

As a pilot, you will take over the controls and fly the plane through the air, truly getting a feel of what it means to be a pilot. Once back on the ground, you’ll receive a certificate of achievement and post-flight debrief followed by the chance to ask any further questions about your experience. You’ll also have the opportunity to log your flying time in your log book with your instructor which will contribute towards your PPL.
