Each of Firmdale Hotels' boutique properties were designed by award-winning interior designer-and-owner Kit Kemp. Winner of the Andrew Martin International Interior Designer of the Year award, Kit and husband-owner Tim maintain that "Hotels should be living things, not stuffy institutions.” These hotels are known for their fresh and modern English style; high standards of excellence and unique townhouse décor.
Dubbed the “Weekend Film Club”, two of Firmdale's London properties show a "Film of the Week" each weekend in their state-of-the-art screening rooms, accompanied by a range of dining options in the hotel's vibrant restaurants.
Soho Hotel
Situated on a quiet mews in the heart of London’s entertainment district, the Soho Hotel was once called "The Most Glamorous Hotel in the World" by Tatler. Sink into chic red leather armchairs in screening room one, or soft cowhide in screening room two every Sunday afternoon. Enjoy a three-course dinner after the film, in the hotel’s Refuel restaurant.
Covent Garden Hotel
The Covent Garden Hotel’s chic viewing room is perfect for those seeking a classy cinematic experience. Situated in the heart of the West End, the ambience is fittingly theatrical. Screenings are available twice on Saturdays, in an intimate screening room with deeply comfortable leather seating by Poltona Frau. Dine in Brasserie Max; a sumptuous room decorated in rich, plush fabrics, with a modern British menu based around fresh, seasonal produce. Evening screenings (8pm) are preceded by a two-course dinner with a glass of wine.
Film listings are scheduled approximately six to eight weeks in advance, and are updated as the latest movie rights become available.
