Robust, sharp and functional, the Wusthof knife is one for life. With over 70 different blade shapes to choose from, this classic tool can prove to be you best friend in the kitchen. The sharpness and light-weight handle allow the knife to be used in a multitude of ways, making dinner prep a whole lot easier!
Learning which type of knife to use and when is a skill in itself. Through expert guidance, you will discover a knife for chopping, one for slicing, another for dicing and even one for deboning and carving. Over the course of four hours, you’ll be exposed to a selection of Wusthof knives, testing them in every way. After the class, you may choose to purchase the knives of your choice.
The class starts with either a snack or a breakfast of freshly baked treats, depending on the time of day. Throughout the day, you’ll learn to chop, slice, dice and fillet. Using Wusthof knives, you’ll be taught the tricks of the trade so that you can understand how to choose the right knife for the job and use your knife to its highest advantage. Most importantly, you will learn how to use a knife safely and efficiently.
Once all the knife work has been completed, you’ll prepare a variety of dishes for you and your class members to enjoy. There could be minestrone with hand- chopped pesto, caramelised onion focaccia, grilled catch of the day with a herbed topping or hand-chopped burger made with organic British beef. All ingredients used are sustainably sourced, high quality, and mostly organic, ensuring a sustainable learning experience.
