Before you soar above the clouds, learn some important basics during a pre-flight 30 minute briefing with an experienced helicopter pilot. After a quick photo opportunity with your aircraft, it’s time for vertical takeoff! Get your head in the clouds with a 30-minute flight, during which you’ll get the chance to take the controls. Experience the exhilarating feeling of piloting of a helicopter, as you soar over the beautiful Hertfordshire countryside and on clear day you will be able to see the London skyline on the horizon. You’ll get to enjoy some spectacular views of Warner Bros. and Elstree Studios, home to world famous series and movies such as Harry Potter. The fun’s not over as the lesson is concluded with a hover challenge, where you’ll try your best to keep the R22 helicopter in a well controller hover for as long as you can.

Once back on the ground, you’ll receive a certificate of achievement, as a recognition of your new helicopter flying knowledge, and have the opportunity to purchase your photos or personalised in-flight footage of your lesson.

For safety reasons, guests must be able to speak and understand English.

Due to health and safety reasons, guests are required to be able to get in and out of the helicopter unaided.

Height, age and weight restrictions apply; guests are expected to be in reasonable health and agile enough to get in and out of the helicopter unaided. You should not take part if you suffer from epilepsy, vertigo or if you are pregnant.

Maximum weight limit per person is 20 stone (127kg).

Minimum pilot height is 4’ 6” and maximum is 7″ or 213cm.

Minimum pilot age is 10 years (adult supervision required for under 16s on airfield premises).
