At Ananda, the emphasis is on recreating synergy between mind, body and intellect through the philosophies and methods of Ayurveda, Yoga and Vedenta.

This solo getaway is a sacred yatra (pilgrimage) to the foothills of the Himalayas, which are said to be charged with the power and energy of the goddess Parvati. The resort has been host to many famous guests, including Oprah Winfrey, and has won a host of awards, including CN Traveller's 'Best Spa in the World', Tatler's 'Most Heavenly Hideaway' and 'Leading Spa Resort' from the SATTE Best Achiever's Awards.

You will stay in the luxury Palace View room, with a four fixture bathroom and private balcony. Programmes and therapies will be tailored to your personal needs, with a full consultation before the journey begins.

The Ayurvedic consultation focuses on balancing the three bio energetic forces in the human body, namely Vata, Pitta and Kapha. According to the philosophy, the universe is made of five primordial elements: earth, air, fire, water and ether. While the elements themselves are inanimate, in combination they give rise to the three aforementioned forces. You will experience purifying therapies, daily Yoga and Meditation and a dosha specific Ayurvedic diet to help reduce stress, improve health and address common ailments or simply work to delay the ageing process.

Getting to Ananda

The nearest airport is Jolly Grant Airport (Dehradun Airport), and transfers are provided to and from Ananda.

Flights from London to Dehradun travelling via Delhi typically take 12-16 hours. Connecting flights are also possible via Mumbai, at a slightly longer journey length.
