Stirling Gin takes its name from the pretty Scottish city its founders, The McCann's, call home. The spirit captures a hint of locality, by infusing Stirlingshire foraged nettles and dried basil to form a calm twist on classic gin. Situated at the foot of Stirling's beautiful castle, the distillery's beautiful Victorian building has existed since 1888. Take a deep dive into the history and science behind gin making - on a Battle Strength Gin Tour.
Upon arrival at the distillery, you will be welcomed with a bespoke cocktail a guided tour of the stunning Victorian building. Hear about the renovation and how the team developed Stirling Gin and renovated the local 'Old Smiddy' building into the current day distillery.
Tour the still room, bottling and packaging space while gaining in-depth insight into how gin is created and distilled. After this you will be directed to their unique tasting tables where you will be shown how to make the perfect G&T. Taste Stirlings stunning gin liqueurs, The Red Cap and The Green Lady, and learn about the mythology and history behind their names.

More About Stirling Distillery
Stirling Distillery, established by June and Cameron McCann, began with their first gin distillation in October 2015. Initially produced in a small copper still, their gin quickly gained popularity, necessitating larger production. By 2020, the distillery expanded into whisky, becoming Stirling’s first whisky producer since 1852.
The distillery is housed in the Old Smiddy, a historic building near Stirling Castle, originally constructed in 1888. The McCanns meticulously restored it, blending modern facilities with Victorian architecture. Today, Stirling Distillery offers tours, tastings, and various events, contributing significantly to the local drinks industry.
