Delve into the world of tea with a virtual tea tasting with Uma Satkunam, founder of Miss TeaSmith. Uma gave up a successful career in finance to follow her passion of tea. In 2014, Uma retrained as a pastry chef at Le Corden Bleu which led to her discovery of tea. Sri-Lankan born, Uma sources teas from all over her native country. The climate and terroir of the islands lends itself to an array of flavours from subtle and delicate undertones, to bold and punchier fragrances. The complexity of flavour and long-standing tradition of producing teas, gives Miss TeaSmith the perfect ingredients to create something new, but respectful of tradition. Miss TeaSmith teas are hand-blended with herbs, spices and flowers to give them a unique and exciting character. Guests will get three teas delivered, along with tasting notes ahead of the tasting session. Discover more about tea, it's history, how to brew the perfect cup and key characteristics during a Zoom call with Uma. Sample teas such as Earl on the Moor, an orange black tea blend, Dark Romance with hints of mint chocolate, and Empa-Tea with zingy ginger and lemongrass infusions. This interactive, online experience is perfect for tea lovers to enjoy at home.
