Description

Driven by a passion (and taste for) quality chocolate, Gerard Coleman founded Artisan du Chocolat in 2000; born in 1972 in Ireland, Coleman trained as a chef and pastry chef in Dublin, London and New York before leaving the kitchen behind to train as a chocolatier in the chocolate capital of the world, Belgium.

Returning to London a master chocolatier, Gerard’s chocolates quickly gained a reputation for fantastic quality and have gone on to feature on menus in Michelin-starred restaurants such as Restaurant Gordon Ramsey in Chelsea and Heston Blumenthal’s, The Fat Duck, as well as winning multiple awards including Best Producer Award, by the Observer Food Monthly.

In 2009, Gerard opened his Notting Hill boutique and chocolateria, launching decadent creations like artisan chocolate cocktails and ‘Iscreams’. Recently, Artisan du Chocolat collaborated with the Trinidad and Tobago Fine Cocoa Company to produce five new chocolates: dark, milk, milk & cashew, milk & guava, dark & scorpion pepper.

This private evening of chocolate tasting and tutorials at Artisan du Chocolat is the perfect way to sate one’s inner chocoholic with friends or family. Led by one of Artisan du Chocolat’s resident chocolate experts, sample at least 12 incredible varieties of chocolate and learn about the tasting profiles of each, giving guests a sense of the meticulous craftsmanship and quality of ingredients that go in making each bar. Accompanied by a glass of Prosecco, this is chocolate tasting in the most luxurious sense.
