The Bombay Sapphire Distillery at Laverstoke Mill gives you the opportunity for you to go behind the scenes and embark on an experience that showcases the craftsmanship and creativity of this world renowned, British gin.
Set in the idyllic Hampshire countryside, astride the crystal clear River Test, the Bombay Sapphire Distillery is a beautiful heritage site just 60 miles from central London. The striking redesign of the state-of-the-art distillery was inspired by acclaimed British designer Thomas Heatherwick.
Famous for designing the 2012 Olympic Cauldron, Heatherwick Studio tactfully renovated the existing, red-brick Victorian paper mill, adding two stunning glasshouses, designed to resemble gin stills, for growing the exotic botanical plants that are used to flavour the gin produced by Bombay Sapphire. The site is incredibly environmentally friendly, down to the fact the bar eschews straws, ensuring Bombay Sapphire was awarded the highly prestigious BREEAM (Building Research Establishment’s Environmental Assessment Method) Award for Sustainable Industrial Design.
On a public tour with one of Bombay’s passionate guides, discover the history of Bombay Sapphire, the unique Vapour Infusion distillation process and Heatherwick’s stunning glasshouses. Every experience begins with a Bombay Sapphire cocktail in the Turbine Bar. Driving? Drivers can enjoy a complimentary soft drink and then take home a complimentary takeaway Gin & Tonic pack.
