Day One Experience a unique and atmospheric whiskey tasting masterclass at The Private ‘Shibeen’ traditional whiskey house. Taste your way through three rare whiskeys each with a Secret Ireland Escapes host, surrounded by candlelight, an open log fire, and an array of hunters’ trophies ranging from River Buffalo to Wild Boar. On the first evening you'll savour a three-course dinner at Nuala’s Bar & Restaurant. The pub has been part of life in Tuamgraney since 1850, winning awards in recent years. The Irish beef on offer is widely praised as the best in the country. Day Two After a hearty breakfast at the hotel, venture on a walking tour of Jameson’s Old Midleton Distillery in County Cork. Get up close to original kilns and pot stills from the 1800’s, when the distillery was owned by Cork Distillery Whiskey, and explore warehouses that have matured the beverage for more than 2 centuries. To end the tour, you’ll take part in a whiskey tasting of premium Jameson whiskeys, and personalise and take home your own 75cl bottle of Jameson’s 12 year old special reserve whiskey. In the evening, treat the senses with a uniquely designed six course whiskey-infused tasting menu at Flanagan’s on the Lake. Day Three Enjoy breakfast in bed before a late checkout
