Staying at The Chedi Andermatt will takes guests deep into the beauty of Swiss alpine wilderness. Andermatt, the Swiss ski resort the hotel is based in, is described by the Telegraph as “one of Europe’s chicest ski retreats”. The resort is a mere two-hour train ride from Zurich, bringing guests to the idyllic heart of the mountains and pulling into the station directly opposite the hotel.

The Chedi Andermatt was designed by renowned architect Jean-Michel Gathy, a man praised for the amount of decadence he brings to a building whilst avoiding the pitfalls of being over the top and garish. Traditional alpine woods and stone combine with modern Asian touches, sultry dark wood stylishly contrasting with soft leathers and cosy alcoves endowed with captivating views of the Swiss Alps, Andermatt Village or Schöllenen Gorge.

During this Swiss break, guests can enjoy The Chedi Andermatt’s expansive 2,400 square metre spa and wellness centre. The tranquil retreat boasts hydrothermal baths and a duo of swimming pools with a backdrop of the stunning outdoor Alpine landscape; swim power laps in the temperature-controlled outdoor lap pool, or cosy up with organic tea by the 35-metre indoor pool and gaze out in complete comfort at the snow-capped pine trees and the Alps. What’s more, guests can enjoy more niche and unique treatments, such as bio and Finnish saunas and an organic sol steam bath, during a stay at what Conde Nast named the world’s “Most Indulgent Spa”.

Smart/casual dress applies in the restaurant. At the spa, bathing suits are required in hydrothermal areas. Spa attire is provided for treatments, and guests may arrive in the bathrobe/slippers provided in the room. Please arrive at the spa 15 minutes before booked treatment time.

Guests can choose their preferred therapist gender, subject to availability. Please state any therapist preferences at the time of booking.

The spa features a Finnish sauna, bio sauna, steam room, sol-steam room, Jacuzzi, hot and cold plunge pools, heated outdoor pool, 35-metre indoor pool, and a Technogym. All spa facilities are mixed gender.

The Chedi Andermatt has two double treatment rooms. Treatments can be booked together, subject to availability. Please state treatment room preferences at time of booking.
