Description

England is an exciting new force in the wine world, producing world class bubbles, winning awards and, for the first time, beating major Champagne houses in competitions and earning well-deserved recognition across the globe. Discover the wonders of English winemaking, with a vineyard tour and tasting at Stanlake Park Wine Estate and taste some award-winning vintages.

The estate's location within Windsor Great Park has a rich and fascinating history dating back to the 12th century with the first vines being planted in 1979. The picturesque estate, with acres of neat vines laden with many varieties of plump grapes including Bacchus, Gewurztraminer, Dornfelder and the classic Champagne varieties, Pinot Noir and Chardonnay and a breathtaking stone manor house is a spectacular sight. The grapes thrive in the loamy well-drained soil before being harvested and turned into wine in the state-of-the-art and on-site winery. Nico Centonze, Stanlake Park’s skillful Italian winemaker, personally oversees the production of each wine, carefully tasting, blending and selecting which wines to bottle or to mature. The vineyard produces a wide range of wines including white, rosé, red and traditional method sparkling wine.

After 40 years of wine making, Stanlake Park is one of the oldest wineries in England. Discover the highs and lows of the fascinating story behind this vineyard and embark on an informative and relaxed tour led by passionate guides. Visit the walled vineyard and entire cellar facilities, including the grape-pressing yard, fermentation area, barrel room, ‘fizz’ room and bottling line. Guests will enjoy generous samples of six wines to tantalise your palate in a tutored tasting.

A fascinating insight into the lifecycle of wine production, from grape to bottle.
