Home to over 500 types of whisk(e)y, Merchant House offers guests a vast selection of quality spirits. Each bottle evokes a ‘Sense of Place’ and explores the resilient and traditional folklore and terroir from the outcrops of the Empire.
The setting is fresh, floral and bright, unlike any other whisky bar. While Merchant House of Bow Lane is home to the exotic and decadent spoils of travel and exploration of the British Empire, then Merchant House is home to the stories of the rebels, the colonised, the dancers.
Whisky has long been the vehicle for rebellion along the outcrops the British Isles, used by the Irish and Scottish coastal areas as a way of reasserting their identities.
Throughout this ultra-premium Scotch whisky tasting masterclass, the experts at Merchant House will share their expertise, offering a unique insight into the origins, evolution, and violent and poetic history encapsulated by each bottling. Explore five distinct expressions of ultra-premium Scotch whiskies, and finish with a true sip of history, with a nip of a rare, vintage whisky, bottled from as early as 1950.

Merchant House is able to host tastings Monday to Friday, 5pm to 1am and Saturday, 3pm to 1am
The experience will last approximately two hours.
Any other products or services consumed can be paid for on-site.

Note that at least 24 hours' notice is required for any cancellations or amendments to bookings.
This experience is not available on weekends, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Years Eve, New Years Day, or Valentines Day
All bookings are subject to availability. We advise booking at least two weeks in advance to guarantee the desired date and time.
Food menu is subject to change and consists of bar snacks such as: olives; octopus, charcuterie and cheese plates.
