Why we love it

Style appears to be as important as substance at Mezemiso, a Japanese-Lebanese fusion, luxury rooftop cocktail bar and restaurant. Stepping into the glass elevator, you’re whisked up to the 14th floor, where panoramic London vistas are aplenty and the food is just as dazzling. Although Japan and Lebanon look totally different, they are connected by the careful attention they give to their land. This care is what makes the experience at Mezemiso truly special.

What's Included?

  • Experience the Ten-Course Tasting Menu for two at Mezemiso
  • Share ten different courses specifically selected to showcase the flavours of Lebanon and Japan
  • Take in panoramic views of the city from this 14th floor restaurant
  • Relax in the stylish and luxurious ambience of Mezemiso

Description

As the name suggests, Mezemiso cleverly combines Japanese and Lebanese gastronomy, highlighting some of the most significant dishes of each culture. Tradition merges with modernity in the execution of favourites such as velvety hummus topped with lamb shawarma, crispy shredded duck in steamed buns and one of the only authentic salted fish dishes in the country.

Rather than mixing the two cuisines, they are kept quite separate with a different head chef for each. Executive chef, Madlene El Saikali, is responsible for the Lebanese side, sharing the kitchen with head sushi chef, Victor Klomu. Both are very well established in their respective areas of expertise, creating no need to overlap on flavours.

An artistic interpretation of the River Thames, which flows below, is set in the floor of the restaurant. It very gently guides one through the restaurant to the terrace, where shisha and cigars can be enjoyed as the sun sets over the Houses of Parliament.

During your ten-course tasting menu, you’ll sample a selection of dishes, carefully chosen to highlight the best of each cuisine. With a menu packed full of innovation and global flavours, this dining experience will be sure to leave you ready to pack your suitcase for a trip to Lebanon and Japan!
