Description

Often described as the country's most beautiful clay shooting destination, Bisley Shooting Ground sits on 3,000 acres of unspoiled Surrey heath and woodland, making it an ideal setting for this Surrey clay pigeon shooting lesson.

Bisley Shooting Ground enjoys an enviable reputation not only as Europe's largest sporting clay ground but also as one of the top clay shooting schools. Branded by Clay Shooting Magazine as "not your average clay ground", Bisley is renowned for expert yet relaxed tuition, as well as having the highest tower in Europe, capable of presenting clay targets from 50 to over 200 feet.

Shooting here is a fantastic experience, starting from the moment you sip your complimentary tea and coffee inside the quintessentially English Victorian Clubhouse. Originally built in 1865 on Wimbledon Common as an HQ to advise the government on the future of shooting, the Clubhouse was taken down and moved to Bisley in 1895. Refurbished between 1995 and 1998, the building now uniquely combines its history with the comfortable relaxed style of a country clubhouse.

Praised by Olympic Gold medallist Peter Wilson, Bisley Shooting Ground presents an astounding range of stands for seasoned veterans and first-timers alike, including over 120 traps and multiple high towers. The wide variety of targets, expert tuition and large array of guns ensure all ability levels are well catered for, from teenagers upwards.

In addition to the facilities, the tuition and staff at Bisley have received plaudits, with Shooting Manager John Heagren described by the Shooting Gazette as "a master of the art". Formerly a professional cricket player, John is now widely acknowledged as one of the country's top FITASC shots, having won the Beretta World Championship in AA Class and finishing runner-up at the UK FITASC Championships. John and his team, many of whom have shot for Great Britain, will make sure you have an unforgettable time.

Bisley Shooting Ground offers great convenience for anybody in London, Surrey or the surrounding counties. Located just 30 miles from London off the M3, or a few minutes from Brookwood Station, a day of clay shooting at Bisley is easily reached by either road or rail.
