Sushi-master, Richard, leads the sushi making class, showing one how to make everything, from california rolls to maki and hand rolls. It’s safe to say that one is sure to leave fuller, happier and teaming with new knowledge.

Description
An interesting fact about sushi is that it doesn’t directly mean “raw fish”. The word refers to a dish of vinegared rice served with various fillings and toppings, which may include raw fish. Sushi was originally invented as a means of preservation, when fermented rice was used to store fish for anything up to a year.
At The Avenue Cookery School, things are done with professionalism, fun and pure enjoyment. Diana and her children work together as a team to present essential and yet stimulating information on everything to do with being a chef – from the correct knife to use, to precisely how to roll the perfect sushi.
Stainless steel surfaces give the kitchen a ‘real feel’ and food is then enjoyed at a big wooden dining table. Potted herbs, glasses of wine and happy banter blend together to create a homely ambience, and guests are encouraged to bring their own drink of choice.
The sushi making class endeavours to cover an array of different sushi, from hand rolls to maki and even how to slice the perfect sashimi. Enjoyed on your own, or with a group, you’ll be well-fed and well-educated.
