Wine Tasting and a lunch by Birmingham Wine School

Explore wines from across the globe amidst the luxurious surroundings of Birmingham’s Hotel du Vin in this friendly, informal and fun wine journey. The day begins with a glass of champagne and an introduction to delicious white wines. A delicious two-course lunch will be served before you explore major red grape varieties. As the afternoon progresses, you will explore the wine-making process, examining aspects including the fermentation process and ageing wines. You will be introduced to various elements of wine, including tannin, acidity and oak. The day finishes with some helpful tips and advice on buying and storing wine, as well as food matches for your favourite tipples.

This day-long course is hosted by Birmingham Wine School and takes place at the Iconic Hotel du Vin, one of the most opulent and luxurious hotels in the city. Built in 1884, this landmark Victorian building is a vision of beauty, standing as one of the finest hotels in Birmingham. Nestled in the city centre, expect an in-depth discovery of wine, as well as dining on delightful dishes and sampling some of the city’s finest wines.
