Aylesbury Symphony Orchestra was founded in 1949 by Charles Pope, a former teacher at Aylesbury Grammar School, who was a major figure in local music, also setting up Aylesbury Choral Society, the Charles Pope Ladies' Choir and the former Charles Pope String Orchestra. The experience begins with a one-to-one conducting lesson with a professional conductor. You are then invited to practice what you've learned and have a one-hour rehearsal with the full 40-person orchestra. This is a unique opportunity to bring a written score to life, through study, personality and musical formation.
