A right-handed batsman and occasional off-spinner, Vaughan was ranked the best batsman in the world following the 2002/03 Ashes where which he scored 633 runs. Lord's Cricket Ground opened in 1814 and since then has hosted over 100 test matches; becoming one of world sport's most iconic venues. There is no better destination than the 'Home of Cricket' for the cricket enthusiast to enjoy an afternoon with this cricketing legend. The day begins with a cricket lesson at the MCC Cricket Academy located on the grounds. The Academy is at the forefront of cricket technology, with PitchVision and Hawk-Eye providing cutting-edge analysis. One of the finest cricket facilities in the world, the academy has produced some of the country's best cricket players. Following your lesson, Michael will then lead you on a private tour of Lord's. The tour begins in the museum, home of the famous Ashes urn; which Michael himself lifted a replica of after captaining England to Ashes victory in 2005. The tour goes on to visit the the Long Room, from which players make their way to the 'hallowed turf', the players' dressing rooms and the futuristic J.P. Morgan Media Centre. Your experience is then rounded off in Lord's Tavern, where you will sit and chat with Michael over a relaxed lunch.
