Recharge your batteries and fill your lungs with fresh air, with a two-night stay at the luxury Townsend Farm. This beautifully restored 18th Century Farmhouse is located in the picturesque and stunning village of Streatley-On-Thames - just a short amble from Goring-on-Thames.

Your luxury accommodation is perfectly located for a private wildlife walking tour; choose between the "Streatley Woodland Adventurer" or "Goring Scenic Circuit". Led by professional photographer and 'bird whisperer', Steven Gozdz will help you appreciate the sights, sounds, fauna and flora along the way.

The "Streatley Woodland Adventurer," is a 3-mile route that boasts a panoramic view of Goring Gap that is well worth the climbing effort. Heading up through the woodland, raptors such as Kestrels, Red Kites and Buzzards are often spotted, and perhaps even a Sparrowhawk or Peregrine Falcon!

The "Goring Scenic Circuit" delivers all the highlights Goring has to offer. Expect a short climb to the Hartslock Nature Reserve, where raptors soar overhead and hunt the fields. The route also comprises of the habitat of the rarely seen Common Club-tailed Dragonfly - make sure you have your cameras ready!

Finish off the walking tour, testing Steven's knowledge over tea, coffee and cake. This is the perfect getaway to enjoy the great outdoors - in the lap of luxury.

Suggested Itinerary:

  • Day one: Arrival and check-in to Townsend Farm. For dining in the evening, we recommend The Bull, The Miller of Mansfield or The Swan at Streatley
  • Day two: Breakfast in your room or hut, followed by your private wildlife walk with The Bird Whisperer, Steve Gozdz
  • Day three: Check-out and departure home
