An excursion to Karangetung is both informative and intriguing as you discover eruption styles of different types of volcanoes and how to prepare for an excursion that avoids volcanic dangers. Guided by a local volcano expert, you’ll cross the Molucca Sea on a ferry to reach the island of Siau, where she is located.
Known for its spices, colourful culture and welcoming people, the islands of the Molucca Sea offer some of the most breath-taking beauty in the world. During your visit, you’ll have the opportunity to explore the surrounding islands, including a sailing trip to the small island of Mahoro, known for beach relaxation and snorkelling.
With five of the most active volcanoes in the world, you’ll be travelling to a part of the country that has the largest density of active volcanoes of any region in Indonesia. As a result, many geologists have claimed that this is one of the most interesting and beautiful areas on Earth.
Suggested Itinerary:
- Day one: Arrival and check-in to the hotel.
- Day two: Embark on an observation to observatory post and Karangetang
- Day three: Delight on a sail to Mahoro for relaxing day of beaching and snorkeling.
- Day four: Check-out and departure home.
