Description

Junoon, meaning passion in Urdu and Hindi, is a modern Indian restaurant from restaurateur Rajesh Bhardwaj.

Bhardwaj came to New York in the 1990s, from New Delhi, where he was born and raised. He brought with him centuries of Indian culinary traditions, but was eager to break away from traditional perceptions of Indian cuisine in the west. With the opening of Junoon, the culinary philosophy saw a marrying of traditional and innovative techniques to create delicious Indian food, as overseen by head chef Vikas Khanna, the host of Masterchef India.

Other than the food, though, the team at Junoon are also dedicated to providing the best in what they see as the other cornerstones of fine cuisine: wine selection, service, ambience and atmosphere. The hospitable and knowledgeable service staff are technically proficient but unobtrusive in this vibrant and sophisticated venue.

On this experience, guests will enjoy a six-course tasting menu, with dishes such as 'Tandoori Lobster Mushroom' and 'Lamb Pasanda' proving flavoursome treats. After the meal, guests will be presented with their very own elegant Junoon spice pouch to take home - with full details of the spice inside and a suggested recipe.
