Description
Situated in the Fitzrovia district of central London, long-standing fine dining restaurant Pied à Terre opened its doors on 16 December 1991. After just thirteen months, the contemporary French restaurant achieved Michelin star status, which it has retained ever since. Founding Director and longstanding creative force is restauranteur David Moore, the same man behind sister Michelin-star restaurant, L'Autre Pied. Today the restaurant is a Fitzrovia institution, as famous for its exceptional dishes as it is for its elaborate wine lift.
As one of the capital's most established fine dining, Michelin-starred restaurants, Pied à Terre invites you to a suitably lavish wine masterclass. The carefully guarded vintage wines, unusual grape varieties, and non-typical wine producing countries on offer make for an exciting discovery. There is a bit of fun to be had here - the restaurant’s expert sommeliers impart years of food matching with wine chosen from all over the world. Skills to be learned include different glass shapes, how and when to decant, and how to create and organise a wine cellar; all important information for a true oenophile. Enjoy your wine masterclass with a Michelin starred lunch of modern French cuisine.
